The Biden administration set aside $86 million to pay for hotel rooms for homeless migrant families near the southern border, Axios reported Saturday. Roughly 1,200 migrant family members will be able to stay in hotels with the new funding.

The contract is through a non-profit called Endeavors and will last for six months, funding rooms in Arizona and Texas.

Moreover, Axios suggests that ICE is overwhelmed and does not have the ability to keep migrants housed.

Conservatives across Twitter were quick to point out the fact that thousands of homeless veterans will sleep on the street tonight while our government rushes to fund illegal immigrants staying in the country.

The article notes that hotels are likely safer for COVID-19 transmission, but they do not follow the safety protocols that border patrol facilities maintain.
