Sen. Ted Cruz released a video of a woman he identified as a Biden administration staffer blocking him from recording at a migrant facility on “Sunday Morning Futures.

Sen. Cruz and Sen. John Cornyn led a group of GOP senators to Donna, Texas last week in response to the ongoing immigration surge. The senators toured a migrant holding facility in the city.

According to “Sunday Morning Futures” host Maria Bartiromo, a photographer joined the group of senators on the trip to the border, however, he was prohibited from entering the facility.

Cruz attempted to film the inside of the migrant facility before an alleged Biden staffer blocked him from recording.

“Please give dignity to the people. Please give dignity to the people. … Please respect the people, the rules,” the staffer told Cruz while blocking his camera with her face.

“So you work for the commissioner, you’re a senior adviser, you were hired two weeks ago and you’re instructed to ask us to not have any pictures taken here because the political leadership at DHS does not want the American people to know it,” Cruz said to the staffer.

“Please respect the rules,” the staffer said to Cruz.

“The rules are arbitrary and they’re designed to keep the American people in the dark,” Cruz said.

“Is this dignity and respect?” he asked while pointing the camera at the overcrowded facility.

“This is not a zoo, sir,” she said. “Please don’t treat the people as such.”

“You’re right and this is a dangerous place. Your policies are unfortunately trying to hide them. I understand that you were instructed,” Cruz said. “I respect them, and I want to fix this situation, and the administration that you’re working for is responsible for these conditions.”

Cruz told Bartiromo that the border was ‘the worst he’s ever seen it.”

“The Donna facility is this giant tent city that they built. It’s massive,” Cruz said. “It’s designed to hold 1,000 people but under Covid restrictions, it’s capacity is 250. It right now has over 4,000 people in it. It’s at a 1,500% capacity.”

“In that facility, children are testing positive for Covid at roughly a 10% rate.”

“It’ a full blown crisis,” Cruz said.

The Biden administration currently has 16,000 unaccompanied minors in custody at the border.

“It’s inhumane, it’s unconscionable and it’s the direct result of political decisions that Joe Biden has made.”
