New York Congresswoman-elect Claudia Tenney, R, joined Sara Carter on the “Sara Carter Show” podcast Monday to discuss her marathon election victory that was challenged for nearly 100 days and the need for election reforms, such as implementing voter I.D. to restore election integrity.

The New York State Board of Elections finally certified Tenney as the Republican winner against Democratic incumbent Anthony Brindisi in New York’s 22nd Congressional District Monday, after a 97-day review process by a judge.

Throughout the ballot counting process, there were many election irregularities, Tenney said, but no evidence of election fraud.

“This is all been overseen judicially every time there were objections,” Tenney said, explaining why the process took 97 days.

“All of those ballots that were rejected by the [Dominion voting machines] were taken aside and hand counted and actually audited by the boards of election in each county, and every vote was counted for,” Tenney said.

“Not only did we go through and test the machines and do machine counts, the machines were cross checked with hand counts.”

The judge overseeing the election ruled that every valid vote that was cast in New York’s 22nd congressional district had been accounted for.

After the judge’s ruling, Marc Elias, a democratic attorney representing Brindisi, demanded that the ballots be recounted by hand.

“Now, all of a sudden, the democrats and my opponent led by Marc Elias are complaining that we need to hand count the Dominion voting machines. But all of this was actually accounted for in this very exhaustive, thorough process. And it’s interesting, because in a prior brief… Marc Elias’s team said that there is no need for a full re-canvass, it would take too much time and that it’s vitally important this seat be filled by January 3 so the people in the 22nd congressional district have a representative and a voice in Washington. The hypocrisy of this is really just incredible.”

“You’re undermining elections and democratic processes. And you should be having a warning label under your Twitter feed for actually making these kinds of allegations,” Tenney said.

Tenney is calling for the resignation of New York gov. Andrew Cuomo and an entire election reform.

“I would love to have a recall statute,” Tenney said.

“When you have a one-party role in a state where so many jobs and so much is dependent on the governor…a lot of Republicans just say, ‘Hey, we got to stay quiet, he’s gonna cut us off.’ And he uses his leverage, all the time to go after these people and to and to really demand, fealty to the king, in a lot of ways. I think that’s what’s happening in New York. I wish people would wake up in New York State and realize it, and the people who have woken up, unfortunately, have moved out of the state. But we have to stay in fight we have to me we have a state of great future. But we can’t have people giving up.”

“I’m staying here to fight the fight in New York,” Tenney said. “We need to do that. We need to bring our state back. I really think if we could just change the governor and maybe chip away a few seats in the Senate and the Assembly, you can see us come back, we can save our small business community. We’re once the Empire State, we have the largest emigration of people than any state in the country. And they’re going to Florida and Tennessee and Texas. They’re just getting out of here, because they don’t want to be under this one party rule system that the governor has created.”
