liberal hoax targeting rudy giuliani goes viral

A story about Rudy Giuliani accepting the advances of a 24-year-old woman who posed as a journalist in a hotel room exploded on social media and in liberal media outlets on Wednesday. It was framed to make Giuliani look like a pedophile, and that’s done intentionally. It looks like, in fact, that was the purpose behind the entire, filmed encounter. It was a complete hoax.

Giuliani was approached by a production company asking for an interview about the Trump administration’s response to the coronavirus pandemic. The interview was paid, and Giuliani asked that the money be given to the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

Despite there being very little to the story, and the allegations of Giuliani being involved in some kind of underage sex scandal, Twitter allowed the hoax to trend. This despite their attempts to not allow hoaxes on their platform—although that may just be for hoaxes that make Democrats look bad.

The interview was conducted by a woman who we now know to be Maria Bakalova, an actress posing as an interviewer. It was reported by Page Six in July that Bakalova asked a few basic questions before, as Giuliani stated, “This guy come running in, wearing a crazy, what I would say was a pink transgender outfit. It was a pink bikini, with lace, underneath a translucent mesh top, it looked absurd. He had the beard, bare legs, and wasn’t what I would call distractingly attractive.”

Giuliani called the police, saying that it was he “only later realized it must have been Sacha Baron Cohen.” He said at the time that he was glad he hadn’t been fooled by Cohen’s tactics, although he did mention being a “fan of some of his movies, Borat in particular.”

Now The Guardian has decided that in fact, Guiliani was fooled by the odd tactics of both Cohen and Bakalova. “Viewers may be less convinced that Baron Cohen, reprising his role as the bumbling reporter Borat Sagdiyev, and Maria Bakalova, who plays his daughter, Tutar, had no success.”

The narrative, as it unfolds in The Guardian, paints a picture of a bumbling Giuliani who was flattered into believing that a young woman was attracted to him, before he was distracted by a man in a pink bikini claiming that Bakalova was 15, at which time Giuliani called the police.

The Guardian reports that, per the film, “After she removes his microphone, Giuliani, 76, can be seen lying back on the bed, fiddling with his untucked shirt and reaching into his trousers. They are then interrupted by Borat who runs in and says: ‘She’s 15. She’s too old for you.'”

This, laying back on the bed and adjusting after the removal of a mic, and hearing the man in a pink bikini yell that Bakalova who is 24 and looks like an adult was 15, is apparently the smoking gun.

“Even before he reaches into his trousers,” The Guardian reports, “Giuliani does not appear to acquit himself especially impressively during the encounter. Flattered and flirtatious, he drinks scotch, coughs, fails to socially distance and claims Trump’s speedy actions in the spring saved a million Americans from dying of Covid. He also agrees – in theory at least – to eat a bat with his interviewer.”

Translation: Giuliani is kind to the interviewer, whom he had reason to believe was interested in what he had to say, has a drink, coughs, fails to socially distance…

There’s additionally some nonsense about a “bribe” intended for Giuliani in the form of a monkey, which was replaced by Bakalova when the monkey was noted to be unavailable. And something about how Giuliani agreed to eat a bat, which turns out to really have just been politeness.

While there’s reason to believe undertaking could result in big laughs for movie-streamers, there’s no reason to believe that Giuliani was trying to make time with an underage girl, interested in taking bribes that came in the form of primates, or fooled by Sacha Baron Cohen into trying to sleep with an actress.

Unlike others who claim things are hoaxes and provide no further information, Giuliani came to his own defense, saying:

“The Borat video is a complete fabrication. I was tucking in my shirt after taking off the recording equipment. At no time before, during, or after the interview was I ever inappropriate. If Sacha Baron Cohen implies otherwise he is a stone-cold liar.

“In fact, the NY Post today reports ‘it looks to me like an exaggeration through editing.’ As soon as I realized it was a set up I called the police, which has been noted in THR article on July 8th.”

“This is an effort to blunt my relentless exposure of the criminality and depravity of Joe Biden and his entire family. Deadline Hollywood reports CAA had a distribution screening in September where there was no mention of the scene holding any importance.

“We are preparing much bigger dumps off of the hard drive from hell, of which Joe Biden will be unable to defend or hide from. I have the receipts.”

If they had anything real on Giuliani, they would have said so, instead of playing at these nonsense suppositions.
