Shocking New Report From Northern Cali Doctors: More Deaths From Suicide than COVID-19 “Unprecedented Numbers”
What have we done to ourselves as a country? We allowed massive irrational panic to take over after a barrage of incorrect death models predicted millions of Americans dying.
The people who questioned those wildly high numbers were silenced and called “deniers” and “conspiracy theorists” and were shamed for not taking the virus seriously. Had we listened to those people and invited more experts into the conversation, we could have avoided collapsing our entire economy and turning so many people’s lives upside down.
But because we didn’t allow other voices and opinions to be heard we traveled down a very dark road that has lead to death and destruction far beyond what the virus has done to us.
People’s businesses that they’ve worked their whole life to build are gone – many for good – people’s way of life has changed – some now feel lost and hopeless, as they’re caged up like zoo animals, like those of us in Michigan.
It’s gotten so bad, that many doctors in California have noticed more suicide deaths since the lockdowns than Coronavirus deaths.
Suicide is now the real pandemic, but nobody is talking about it.
Doctors in Northern California say they have seen more deaths from suicide than they’ve seen from the coronavirus during the pandemic.
“The numbers are unprecedented,” Dr. Michael deBoisblanc of John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, California, told ABC 7 News about the increase of deaths by suicide, adding that he’s seen a “year’s worth of suicides” in the last four weeks alone.
DeBoisblanc said he believes it’s time for California officials to end the stay-at-home order and let people back out into their communities.
“Personally, I think it’s time,” he said. “I think, originally, this was put in place to flatten the curve and to make sure hospitals have the resources to take care of COVID patients. We have the current resources to do that, and our other community health is suffering. What I have seen recently, I have never seen before, “I have never seen so much intentional injury.”
Suicide has been an increasingly significant yet rarely discussed problem sweeping the country thanks to the lockdowns which lead to unemployment, uncertainty, and depression.
In one Tennessee county, more people died from suicide over a one-month time-frame than had died in the entire state directly from the virus.
A study published in May suggested that the coronavirus could lead to at least 75,000 deaths brought on by anxiety over the virus, job loss, and addiction to alcohol and drugs.
What does that this you?
As President Trump once wisely said – the solution shouldn’t be worse than the problem.
