Tucker Carlson: UPS can’t explain how flash drive with Biden documents got separated from package
Fox News host Tucker Carlson said there are unanswered questions about the brief disappearance of a package containing a flash drive with documents related to the Biden family’s business ventures.
On his show Thursday, one day after he announced that the package had disappeared, Carlson addressed how UPS tracked down the missing parcel but was unable to answer how the flash drive was separated from the envelope that contained it.
“The envelope was securely sealed, we know that,” Carlson said on Thursday. “Two witnesses saw our producer seal it, and UPS does not dispute that. Was the package torn open accidentally by a machine? That seems unlikely. UPS says that almost never happens. So, we’re left with the obvious explanation. Someone, for some reason, opened our package and removed a flash drive containing documents that were damaging to the Biden family. We would love to know who would do that and why.”
Carlson announced on Wednesday that a collection of confidential documents obtained by his team had “vanished” as they shipped across the country. He said his staff received the files on Monday, and the documents were sent from New York to Los Angeles where the TV host was interviewing Tony Bobulinski, a former business partner of Hunter Biden who claims Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden was aware of his son’s foreign business dealings, a claim the elder Biden has denied.
On Thursday, hours after UPS announced it had found the documents, Carlson said his team asked UPS if it could examine the envelope that had contained the contents, but the shipping company said it was thrown away. He also noted that UPS told his team that there were no cameras in the sorting facility where the package vanished.
“We got our flash drive back today, and that’s great, but what we would really like are some answers,” Carlson said. In addition, Carlson said that his staff made of copy of the documents before mailing them.
The prime-time host, who has cable news’s top-rated show, also said his team has several other documents related to Hunter Biden’s personal life but will not air them out of respect for his privacy.
“There are a lot of documents about Hunter Biden’s personal life that we haven’t brought to you, and we’re not going to. And we should tell you why. One is the obvious answer. He’s not running for president, and so, to the extent those documents pertain to his dad, of course. But Hunter Biden is a fallen man at this point,” Carlson said. “I never thought Hunter Biden was a bad person. I thought he had demons, but in the time I knew him, he kept them mostly under control. At some point, he lost control of those demons, and the world knows that now.”
